Oldest University in Nepal

Tribhuwan University is the Oldest university in Nepal. The University is the Public University located at Kirtipur Kathmandu. The University was established in 1959. The University offers more than 4400 courses Through Intermediate, Graduate, Postgraduate programs. The University has 85 integral college and more than 600 affiliated college throughout the Country. Since it is the Government University, it is less costly than other Private University in Nepal. Tribhuwan University has its central library at kirtipur. The Library contains 350000 volume of books. 450 title of periodicals are received every year as a gift.

Tribhuvan University also has a international cricket ground.

Students from diverse geographical areas, ethnic groups, casts and religions come to the university for  higher education. The University is also the well known destination for the foreigner students.
